The new year brought me back to Dili on an interesting new assignment for a new firm looking at project activities around the Presidential and Parliamentary elections coming up in March/April and June. It was a real treat to see old friends and many old colleagues who are all engaged in interesting projects and government jobs in Dili. I loved that iconic view of the Cristo Rei land crocodile and the sound of the waves just outside my door. We even made time for a dive and it was wonderful to get back into the Timor sea, even though it was quite murky from the big rains. Next time, maybe I bring Lendell and Naomi?
