This is the first time Naomi has really been aware of Christmas ahead of time. The teachers at school talk a lot about Santa and the holidays, and she even came home some days singing Jingle Bells. We took a shopping trip to buy presents for Lendell and she was really trying to understand the concept of buying presents for other people. She seems to get the concept of Santa and even waited to open some presents from friends this morning because she wanted "to wait for Santa". Here's to hoping that visions of Santa will keep her in her bed the whole night tonight!
Rainy season was supposed to end here but has held on through the holiday season. Last week she ran through the market chasing the chickens in her wellies.
She is also really excited about dressing up (and dressing herself) and make believe. When we spoke to Alec and Janine on the phone last night I asked her what she wanted to be when she got bigger and she said, "A dinosaur". Check out the Maryland pride below.
