Uganda voted for their next President (and Parliament) on Friday and rumors of potential unrest kept us all inside the house for a few days as we waited for the results to be announced. All in all, the election went well and there were no large disturbances in Kampala. Yesterday, President Museveni was officially declared the winner with 86% of the vote and re-elected under his and the National Resistance Movement's platform of peace and stability since 1986. We went a little stir crazy but found a lot of time for dancing, new hairdos (for Naomi, at least) and playing in the yard. At least the weather was beautiful.

Naomi loves a few movies and is quite keen on Shrek at the moment. As we watched Saturday night she pointed at Princess Fiona and said "Momma is Fiona and Dad is Shrek!".
This is Naomi in the kitchen with her favorite CD of the moment, Iryn Namabiru.
