After six years away, Lendell finally went back to Harare. This time with a wife and daughter in tow! We had a great time visiting friends from Timor-Leste - Enrico, Lauren and Nicolino (also 19 months old) and Lendell's many old Zimbabwean friends including Chris, Karen and their new little ones Ella and Ruby. We also discovered (re-discovery for Lendell) the beautiful artisanry around the country. I was especially impressed by the sculpture, woodworking and metal work. Especially in the face of everything that the country has experienced since 2000 and more recently following the elections in 2008, it is one of the most welcoming places I've visited.
