Rainy season has come to Kampala and the garden is growing fast and big. The jacaranda are dropping beautiful purple petals everywhere. It is getting quite cold at night as we sit on the porch having citronella-candle-lit dinners. We've discovered where to get the best fish at the market and are cooking more despite the fact our oven has no temperature gage.
On the home front, Uncle Camara is back for a few months of work in Uganda and our friend Yodit came to visit during a work trip. Naomi checked her out for the first 15 minutes and then started a new double bear hug trip. First she grabbed Yodit tightly around the neck and then drew me in. Check out all the hair she has - she definitely got that from me. It is a treat to have some of our extended family here in Kampala.
On the work front, Lendell has been working hard on a global health conference and coordinating visitors from all over the world. We've tried to sneak in lovely brunches and nice meals here and there. Here is one of our favorite brunch sites in Kampala.

The shippers say our stuff will arrive next week! Stay tuned for pictures of our 'new' furnished place. Naomi will be sad that her large dance floor is crowded with pesky tables and chairs, but she'll get over it.
