Momma Kate's first trip to Liberia

In March I went away for the first long assignment away from Naomi. Lendell and Naomi did wonderfully and I really enjoyed my first trip to West Africa. I was enchanted by the hopefulness despite constant reminders around the city of Monrovia of the long period of war and strife. I read two books I recommend - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's autobiography and Helen Cooper's House at Sugar Beach. Below is a picture of part of the team in Monrovia.
